Frequently Asked Questions
-
When can we set up for our wedding /event? You have full use of the venue from 9.00am the day before your event. You will come in and set up the furniture how you like it and set up your table decorations and anything else. Your suppliers are also welcome to come and drop anything off they need. We make sure there is always someone in the tipi's even overnight the day before the event. You will also need to come and get your things by 3pm the following day.
-
Can we use any external suppliers? Apart from a bar you can hire in whoever you wish, bouncy castles, popcorn machines, photo booths and much more has been in the past, our only stipulation is that the supplier takes full responsibility for their own equipment and we will contact them in the weeks leading up to their event for proof of Public Liability Insurance. All their electrical equipment must have a safety certificate.
-
Why do you only hold weddings May to September? As we are a mainly canvas venue we fill we would not have the right vibe through the winter months, we use this time to clean, repair and maintain the canvases. As well as think of new ideas to improve the Den the following year.
-
Are we allowed fireworks or sparklers? Fireworks no, this is a risk to the canvas and to the guests, sparklers are permitted but this must be discussed with the owners beforehand and any safety requests must be followed.

-
What happens if it rains? The same as what happens in any other type of wedding, you would take it inside, our tipis are big enough to seat 200 guests, if it's chilly the heaters will be on and the atmosphere is beautiful with all the twinkly lights and music, especially when it's raining.
-
